Look what I've done to my Fly Deluxe

Now my guitar is not only the slightest guitar of the world but also the smallest...

I hope you're not expecting applause for ruining your guitar. You won't get it from me.[V]

Me, I kinda like it.  [:0][:p]  It's sort of a cross between a Steinberger and a Fly.  I wish you would have included a better shot of the headpiece.  And while you were at it, I think you missed out by not adding a TransTrem, although it looks like you might still have the piezo side working.

I think it's hysterical that Ken Parker always talks about how the guitar community is so conservative.  Here's a community that has embraced his innovation, and yet anytime there's something non-traditional done to it, everyone decries it.

Hakim, I get what you've done here completely.  Thanks for sharing.  [;)]

I kinda dig it. Always wanted to chop off the horns to see what it would look like. I imagine it was a damaged Fly and not a mint one? Maybe some horn damage?

If you ever find a Fly with the headstock amputated, you now know you can make a headless version.  Although that's some mighty custom bridge hardware...

I gotta say, that's some guitar you've got there. I don't even know where to begin, other than to say if it makes you happy, it's a good thing, cuz there's a good bet it has no resale value.

Welcome Hakim.

While its not my cup of tea in appearance, I gotta sat you've got guts. And some skills. I would be curious to see the headstock(or lack thereof).

Thanks for posting.

Hakim, enlighten me please. Was there pre-existing damage? You obviously have some skills that I don't have and very ingenious to make such radical changes. I don't like it, I admit this would never work for me. But you may have had a good reason for these kind of mods. I for one would just like to know the why? [:)]

I see a lot of peoples don't like what I have done to my Fly deluxe, but think of this :
1. My guitar still sounds like the original. I have kept the piezos, and put a composite coated (used for cars) on the cuttings before painting.
2. I can play in sitting position without having this ugly horn in my stomach!
3. The tuning is more comfortable and very stable because of using double ball strings.
4. The guitar is (considering size and weight) closed to a travel guitar.
I don't like vibrato, that's why I haven't put a Steinberger transtrem bridge. Anyway, the Steinberger system couldn't fit my Parker because it was so big and too heavy. I have build myself all the pieces (aluminum or stainless steel) to keep a well-balanced weight. I have also re-create the electronic board because it became too big. It takes me about one year to do this guitar...
My guitar wasn't damage before, and be sure I'm very happy with it now and certainly, I will never resale it because Parker Fly have the better neck I've never touch.
It seems everybody 's only considering the look. But my Parker fly is more practical and comfortable than yours.

PS : Sorry for my bad English…
PS2 : In France, it seems guitarists are less conservative...

Sorry Hakim, no disrespect to you.  I can appreciate the amount of work this took and your workmanship looks top notch, but I just can't appreciate the results.
