RIP Mitch Mitchell
« on: November 13, 2008, 10:27:46 AM »
The world has lost an amazing drummer, Mitch Mitchell, the drummer for the Jimi Hendrix Experience.  I felt he deserved a mention on the musicianship and the art of playing page, because his amazing drumming transformed rock music.  Check out Hendrix's first 2 albums, Are You Experienced, and Axis, Bold As Love.  This ain't no drum machine!

I'm deeply saddened by his loss, but his drumming beats inside every cell of my being.

Sadly, with Mitch's passing the last of the Jimi Hendrix Experience has left this world. He was a perfect compliment to Jimi's playing and it would have been something to see where they would have gone musically as Jimi grew more interested in Jazz and such...

Possibilities.

Cheers.
