Whats Your Favorite Guitar

Ok, I know all of us here are obsessed with Parker guitars, I know I am. I was just wondering what some of you good folks out there considered you second to the wonderful Parkers we own. I love my Fly Classic but if Parker never existed I would be playing a strat. What do some of you think? If there never was a Parker what kind of guitar would you be playing? Just curious

Yea I'd go Strat too, I mean you can't argue with Stevie, Jimi, and Clapton.

I would go with Gibson SG like the one I own below. I don't play it what with my Parker but I do like the feel, sound, weight and excess to the fret board.

Alex
1996 Parker Fly Deluxe
1998 Parker Fly Classic
1999 Parker NiteFly S/S/H NFV7
2005 Emerald Acoustic X10
2004 Maven Peal Ganesha
2004 Marshall 4x12 Scumbag

Thats a nice guitar, my father has a 1972 Gibson SG, its that same classic cherry color and its got the bigsby style tail piece and ebony fret board, great guitar. He bought it new in '72 for $400. Inflation is a witch isnt it?

These are mine - a very mixed collection of nice and nasty [:D]

I love the Ken Loper custom P90 Tele, and the Patrick Eggle Berlin Pro (next to the Fly) is a GREAT guitar, too...

I would have stuck with Carvin for sure.  I love my DC400TA.

I've never played a carvin, but a friend of mine ordered either your model or the 200 in satin finished koa, with a maple fretboard, and active electronics. basically the works.

My Carvin has been my main live and studio guitar for three years and I have never had any problems with it at all.  In my hands, the only guitar better than a Carvin is a Parker.  And, in my hands, nothing is better than a Parker.

I must say that I'm in love with my Ibanez JEM... it plays extremely well. I bought recently a P38 to try out Parker, and I must say I'm impressed... my next guitar will definitely be a fly. :)

My PRS Custom 24 is still number 1, but I am playing my Nitefly SA a lot at the moment & like it very much.  I guess it would probably be fairer to compare the PRS to a full Fly model.  I have some other guitars that I play from time to time and find it's good to pick up one I haven't used for some time for some extra inspiration!

I have a Gordon Smith Gypsy 2 (British made, mahogany, twin hum for anyone who doesn't know it)that I've owned for years.  Despite my more recent guitars costing a lot more, it's still a great guitar.

The Parker is definitely the most versatile though.

I was looking into getting a Carvin, it seems like they do stricktly custom work, I cant really find a retailer that carries them. Beautiful guitars though, and from what i hear theyre really relyable and sound great. I'd really like to find someone who carries them and try one out. Plus they have the neck through option which is as close as I can get to getting that one-piece fly classic sustain that Im used to.
