New (to me) Deluxe!

Hey Titus! Thank you for well wishes, we all need all we can get at times. :)

The arthritis (which a specialist has told me are, to be precise, flexion cracks across my kneecaps) is located in my knees, my left knee being far worse than my right. Was caused by a series of hit and run accidents while I was a cyclist as a teenager. It is now causing me to have to sell my car, as I am not supposed to be driving manual transmission vehicles for an indeterminate amount of time.

The inflammation in my left hand (which is all any -itis is, as you say) comes from a ridiculously non-ergonomic keyboard setup I had while working a computer based job for Guitar Center years ago. It never got better, and I as a moron, kept playing while in pain. Thank you for the advice about finding a doctor who specializes in music related issues. That was my plan while in school in Chicago over the next few years. Oh, and I am in total agreement about what your mind can do to your body, both positively and negatively. I sufer from depression (as do most of the population, it seems) and just a few thoughts on a poor mental health day can be nearly crippling. On the other hand, my father is a T'ai Chi instructor and, you would be amazed at the positive things that can be brought about by thinking clearly, positively, and being used in conjunction with a regimen of good physical exercise :)

I am going to stop rambling now, and apologize for the rambling. I had my last two wisdom teeth out this morning and am a bit.....spacey at the moment.

I think the Fly is the only guitar I've ever liked in white. Congrats, she looks great.

Hey! Enjoy the pain meds, they only last for so long [|)] I had my wisdom teeth yanked in my teens (all of them at once). Maybe that's why I'm so thick!

Hope those knees don't cause you too much pain, and look at it this way: the way people drive today you may be better off NOT driving! I know, it's not easy with no wheels ...

About the mental angle, you're so right. We can never underestimate the power of our thoughts, even what may seem mundane and 'normal'. I was thinking not long ago about an old saying "thoughts are things" - don't know when or where I heard it, but it's one to live by (or not?). Especially when patterns develop from thoughts. Being cognizant of it certainly helps, eh? [:)] If only I had a few bucks for every bad outcome I hear from computer-keyboarding musicians. Wow.

The population, you say? I hear you. That would explain why I run into more people lately whose faces are frozen in perpetual "hidden frown mode."  Speaking of exercise ... I've become a freaking spud, and I'm feeling it. Big time.

Stay in touch, and all the best to you. Keep us up to date on how things are progressing.

-peace-

That is a beautiful guitar.  My only question is what is that black thing that is at the bottom of the guitar (below the bridge)?
