Title: Bridge's trem bar post shattered inside. Where to buy replacement post?
Post by: Best2015 on September 15, 2017, 03:57:55 PM
Hi,

I have a PDF100 with a "vibrato bridge".

The plastic part where the trem arm sticks in on the bridge shattered to pieces. It seems that the arm goes into a plastic post that is glued inside the bridge, but I may be wrong.
Anyone knows where can I buy the post or bushing or whatever it is called? It might be difficult to remove whatever plastic is left inside, but at least I won't have to buy a new bridge, which I imagine might be expensive.
Also, I could not find any parts online. I called guitar center, but they give me the runaround.
What can I do?

Suggestions please

That's wiguitar. He's a great seller and bought out most of the last Parker parts from the factory before they closed shop.

That should work,  but is just as fragile as the broken one you have now.  The options in the other thread are probably more robust.  I haven't had to replace the ones I have,  so I don't have any experience to go on.  Just what I've read over the years on this board.

got it. Just bought it.

I will probably fix this and then sell it.

I bought it because I wanted a very light guitar for practicing, but the frets are rising and you can feel the fret edges.
I can't set it up correctly for height without probably having to pay some good money to get the frets pushed in and leveled.
Plus, I use the whammy for some flare and don't want to deal with weak parts.

I will see.

Thanks for your help!

If you keep it, that white Home Depot part works great. Try a humidifier with this thing too.
