Title: FS: PDF60 Chinese White
Post by: jb63 on October 17, 2017, 03:44:37 PM
Moving this along to someone who can use it.
The body is gloss white, but apparently you can make it look like cream in the right light.

I picked this up new. Its one of the China models but I wanted one with the blade selector.
I had planned on modifying this with a sustainer and a graphtech midi system, but i opted to do that to my 97 Nightfly instead. Its heavy as hell by comparison, but I love that neck more than this and you only live once.

Every season here in salt lake I have to adjust the truss rod and set it all up, but the truss rod is great and a little bit is all it takes. I’ve set the action pretty darn fly-like, but you may want to take a few minutes with a wet stone to smooth a few fret-ends up on the high frets.

The ebony fretboard is nice and straight, and everything else is stock.
I had planned to put about $800 into this, and you could, too, but I doubt it would sell for more than $700 no matter what you did to it.

It comes with all the tools you need to adjust everything and the Parker Gigbag it came with.

$275 will get it to your door unless you live in Alaska or something.

Ask me some questions. I paid $350 for this and, yes, you could play it all day!

I’ll leave this here for a while before I list it on Reverb or Ebay.

Bumping this for the season.
I just adjusted the truss rod for summer.
The maple neck and ebony board are fun to play but I’m still favoring more expensive guitars.
I’m not in a bind for cash, so I’ll leave this here for a while.
I should post one of the MIDI conversions I did on a prettier PDF guitar soon, as it’s just living life a a backup and I barely play out any more. I’m sure there is someone on this board who wants to play some midi guitar!

Sorry I took so long. Had to find my travel scale!

Looks like 9lbs with the bag:

and right around 6lbs for just the guitar.

Of course that it one empty control panel. Once you fill it up with stuff that will add almost 2 lbs!

Not bad. Both of my USA DF's are about 5 pounds, ready for stage.

I had an 8 pound LTD faux-LesPaul that played nicely, but was too darn heavy. Since I switch sax/flute/wind synth/guitar on the gig it was too much lifting.

Good luck. I hope you sell it.

bumping this up to the front page again.
i'm half tempted to spend some $ on some expensive frets, then I wouldn't want to sell it, but I have more expensive parker guitars that need playing!
