This guitar is well documented on this forum (photos and sound bite). Only issue was the misaligned back plate screw and I had that fixed by one of the top luthiers in the area (Phil Jacoby). I put some custom wood knobs on, but can replace them with the standard ones. All the paperwork (including warranty card) and tools are included.
The guitar deserves to be played and not just sit in the closet. (In fact, I would say it MUST be played – old Martins sound better for a reason – maybe they were made better, but playing breaks down the resins in the wood leading to a better tone. This guitar sounds great, but over time, I expect it to be even better.) A classically trained guitarist friend or mine with prefect pitch (yup, one of those guys;-) says there are no bad notes on this guitar. Not to mention it only weighs three and half pounds.
(NEW) I'm going to put it on eBay, and if it sells, then I'll go the custom route (like Dayn), if not, I'll try the NewTone light string and if the tone remains the same, I may go and put the RMC in this one and forget the custom idea (tone trumps color -- right?) Anyway, I figured I'd give the forum first shot at the reduced price (and thanks for the inputs.)
(NEW) Asking $2400 (that includes insured shipping).
